Serrano Scoop Story

We started our blog when we found out we were pregnant with Landon. Our goal was and still is to keep you all up to date with our family happenings. We failed miserably almost one and a half years ago. So we're trying again.

Chillin' with Cousins

Landon recently met his cousins Aubry and Mason who came to Carson City to visit after Christmas. They were very anxious to meet him and took turns doing their best to hold him. Landon looks forward to visiting Aubry and Mason in the coming years in southern California and going to Disneyland together.

High Chair and Bouncer

Grandma and Grandpa Scherer gifted Landon two new ways to experience the world. First is his high chair where he can now sit with us at dinner or watch Daddy cook in the kitchen. Far more exciting though for him is the bouncer. He has really started to get going in the thing, but of course, with all that exercise comes some necessary sleep. Should we move him to his crib? Nah, just leave him there.

Christmas 2009

Christmas is definitely more special with a little one. We had a great time making the rounds to see all the family. I would say Landon was spoiled but that is an understatement. Hannah and I look forward to the coming years when the "magic" of Christmas really comes to life for Landon. Below are some photos from each of the grandparents' homes.

Meeting Santa

This is a rite of passage where you never know what is going to happen. Of course, he probably does not understand the idea that Santa could be scary at this point, so Landon did very well. He just would not hold still.

Another Set of Cute Landon Pictures

Nevada Basketball Games

Another Nevada basketball season with one new addition to our seats. Landon enjoys himself at the games, but sometimes it gets loud and Grandpa Zive has to cover his ears.

Big Snow

The first big snowstorm came in mid-December. Our home is down in the valley, so you can imagine how much snow the mountains got. The storms in December were a huge blessing for our area, and I am hoping for much more.

Since my wife has to park outside, the least I could do is brush her car off.

Turner attempted to help me clear the snow in the driveway by melting it one pee spot at a time.

Yeah, it was a lot of snow.

Landon's First Photo Shoot

In early December, Landon headed out to the first of what I am sure will be many photo shoots. It resulted in some pretty cute pictures. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we headed over to Grass Valley for lots of food and fun with Grandma Zive's family (the Townsends). It was wonderful as always!

Landon hanging out with Grandpa Zive.

Nana, Phil, Kristy, Hannah, and Landon hanging out (with the Cowboys on in the background).

The grandkids received a wonderful surprise from Nana, books with pictures, stories, and family history. Nothing more important than that!

The Thanksgiving weekend also marked the first time Landon met his Uncle Matty who was home for the first time since leaving for Northwestern U. in Chicago. Landon does not seem to appreciate having to smell his teenage uncle's armpit so he is giving him a shot to the ribs.

2 Months!

A Few Moments from November

Landon got to go back and meet the doctor who helped him come into this world. Thanks to Dr. Perry for all her great work bringing us a healthy baby!

Boys being boys. It does not get much better for me than hanging with my boys and watching ESPNews on the TV. Wait, hanging out with my beautiful wife and giving her my full attention is also way up there too!
